At Kaz Incursions - Stop Motion Animation
Interested in creating their own cartoons/animations
Animations are created by moving an object one photograph at a time. Every frame is a single shot; run at a high speed it ‘appears’ the subject is moving… That is the basic premise for the art of stop motion animation. This amazing, yet surprisingly simple technology will guarantee hours of fun for creative people of all ages.

One-day workshop we cover (Suitable for ages 8 – 15):
- How to create a background
- How to create a foreground
- How to stabilize the camera for animation
- How to create an interesting story
- How and what to move at different intervals
- How to edit the animation
- How sound can transform any information
- Group viewing
Two-day workshop we cover (Suitable for ages 12 – 15):
- How to edit with STOP MOTION ANIMATION
- How to add visual effects
- How to add audio effects
Children are required to bring along something to animation, this could be
- Smartphone or tablet with camera functionality
- Favourite small toys
- Lego mat and some Lego characters
- Small figurines of their choice
Like everything worthwhile, children are required to bring along patience and creativity. We will painstakingly be creating a whole world of unique animations that can be enjoyed by the whole family, as each animation will be uploaded up to the KAZ incursion website for public viewing upon completion.
So……grab the popcorn, get lounge and watch your children’s animation at home after the workshop…and like a good book…enjoy it again and again and again!
