At Kaz Incursions - Green Screen
Learn how to create epic special effects
This workshop/incursion is an introduction to green screen digital technology. Alongside it demonstrates the skills employed to create amazing special effects. Developing an awareness of how effects are produced and hence manipulated students become active and empowered viewers.
Students who participate in a green screen project discover the techniques which are commonly used in modern film making. With this knowledge in hand students can reproduce amazing effects of their own in short films they will produce in the future.
One-day workshop we cover (Suitable for ages 8 – 15):
- How to act for GREEN SCREEN
- How to shoot with GREEN SCREEN
- How to edit with GREEN SCREEN
- What programs are available to achieve GREEN SCREEN
Two-day workshop we cover (Suitable for ages 12 – 15):
- How to edit with GREEN SCREEN
- How to add visual effects
- How to add audio effects
To get the full experience of a major film scene, children is asked to bring:
- Their favourite costume, hat or props
- Ideas about how they wish to participate ACTOR/DIRECTOR/EDITOR
This workshop is best suited to senior primary school students. This workshop is designed to give students the opportunity to become discerning viewers; to view films in a completely new and exciting way. This workshop will develop an appreciation of film making and the cinematic approach of visual communication.
Many people don’t realise that film making takes a great amount of patience, attention to detail, and a vivid imagination. This is the basis of every great project, and what we will create will be as marvellous as our own imagination.
